The oil fill tube is conveniently 1 1/4". The breather I found at the local AutoZone was a push in style that had a grommet for a 1 1/4" hole. I shoved it in there, left the other breather tube open, and the problem seems to have gotten a lot better. I haven't really driven the truck enough to see if it's completely solved, but it is better.

Insert short piece of hose over the pcv just long enough to slide into ghe breather over the hose then tighten the clamp. Driver side done. Pass side run a piece of 3/8 fuel line straight towards the front a little bit for clearance. Add a 3/8" vacuum elbow then slide a breather over it like the driver side done.

if the MAF reads the amount of air coming into the system for combustion, then why would it make a difference if the valve breather is rerouted or not. that air is goin to the valve cover therefore it isnt involved with combustion. so in this case wouldnt it run more leaner since that air is goin into the combustion chamber and not to the VC.
