A bulk of silica sand was taken from Kowli-Kosh silica sand mine to reduce its hematite content by reverse flotation. The raw sample consisted of 97.38% SiO 2 and 0.213% Fe 2 O 3 and traces of Al 2 O 3, CaO, MgO, Na 2 O, K 2 O, TiO 2. Fig. 1 illustrates a general block diagram for the hematite removal process from silica sand.
