Mineral sillimanite is a non-conducting and non-magnetic light-heavy mineral. However, sillimanite mineral responds to surface modifications by which they can be floated using a flotation process. The spiral feed contains 31.75% sillimanite which follows the monazite flowsheet. The spiral feed is subjected to a high-tension separator.
